Derwent House and Brandelhowe form a character Lake District building, in stone and slate, now converted to form four comfortable self catering holiday suites. We are situated in the small village of Portinscale, just one mile to the west of Keswick - the heart of the Cumbria North Lakes - and on the northern shore of Derwentwater.

In Keswick there is an excellent supermarket "Booths" - particularly for those self catering, as well as charming shops, from antique emporia to modern fashion - and of course everything for the outdoors that anyone could require. Keswick has an abundance of eating houses for all tastes.
